My Favorite Restaurants in Bangkok

by Regin Reyno

One of the reasons Bangkok is my favorite city in Asia is because of its food. The convenience, price, and availability of restaurants in this city is amazing. Ranging from cheap but tasty Thai street foods to healthy organic vegetarian restaurants  to elegant western restaurants- there are lots of options to choose from-whether your're up to satisfying your taste, eating for a healthy body, dining for a date, or bonding with friends and family, it's all here in Bangkok.

Eating out has been one of my favorite recreation, and relaxation here in Bangkok. After a tiring day's work, it's so nice to just relax and dine in a restaurant.

These are my favorite and recommended restaurants. Try these whenever you happen to visit Bangkok. Food quality(taste, nutrition, hygiene) ambiance, and price were considered in choosing these restos.

So don't know where to eat when you're in Bangkok? Check this out.

The Cheapest Way to Explore Ayutthaya from Bangkok

by Regin Reyno

One of the tourist spots in Thailand that is near Bangkok is the historic city of Ayutthaya. It was the former capital city of Thailand, and one of the kingdoms during the olden days. The kingdom existed from 1351 to 1767. It was once regarded as the strongest kingdom in the mainland Southeast Asia.

It’s called Kalsangi, and is an exclusive place where expats and top management of Dole Philippines, a pineapple company, reside.

Famous Houses of Worship in my Travels

by Regin Reyno

Throughout the course of time, mankind believed in the supernatural. Immortality,  gods, spirits, angels, God, and religion. Different people have their own beliefs. But however different the beliefs are, it all comes down to one common belief-a belief in a powerful, supernatural being.

In my travels, I have encountered a lot of people with different set of beliefs. And have witnessed how man will go to great extent to worship God by building infrastructures for worship. I marvel how these infrastructures were greatly put up-for the sole purpose of worshiping God/the gods.

From Asia to Europe-these are the famous houses of worship I have encountered-which were intricately and amazingly built. Out of these 13 houses of worships, 4 are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Aside from their religious and cultural significance, they are famous because of their beauty, age, and how they were built.

1. Nidaros Cathedral
     Trondheim, Norway
I first visited this beautiful cathedral in 2005 and visited it again in 2006. It was built in the burial site of Saint Olaf in the Norwegian city of Trondheim. Its architectural style is Romanesque and Gothic and is the traditional location of the consecration of the king of Norway. It was built in 1070-1300.

Denomination/Religion: Church of Norway (Protestant)
