Vietnam Deja Vu

by Regin S. Reyno

Bangkok-The 65,000-seating capacity of Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkapi district wasn't full. Nevertheless, the spirit and the passion of football wasn't diminished. In the E2 section of the stadium was a very large red cloth with a star at the center. Yes, it's the Vietnam flag, together with thousands of fans with their horns and flags, drums and pom poms. They were shouting and chanting.

The Beautiful Game

by Regin S. Reyno

Growing up in a country where basketball is the most popular sport, most Filipinos don't have an interest in football, the world's most popular sport, or soccer as what we call it. Every time I watch Star Sports or ESPN-and see those massive crowds in football stadiums- I really wondered why they love the game so much.

Number 31 Crossed-out: A Golden Experience

by Regin Reyno

31. be in awe while beholding Shwedagon Pagoda in Burma

A massive pagoda made of real gold, I first saw Shwedagon when I was a child in one of the books at our home. Since then, I wanted to personally see this wonderful infrastructure, so I added it in my 50 before 40 list.

On October 17, 2012, I came face to face with one of Asia's most amazing and most wonderful religious infrastructures-and the experience and moment was priceless.
