by Regin Reyno
In my previous post, we looked back at my travels in 2012. This time, join me as I look back at my 2011 travels.

1. March 2011: Ko Kred Day Tour
Ko Kred, Nonthaburi, Thailand
1 day
A day tour in a man-made island near Bangkok. This island is inhabited by the Mon tribe, one of the ethnic groups of Thailand. Their main industry there is pottery. Cars aren't allowed in the island. So if you want to have a break from all the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, head to this island. Just go to Pakkred via bus 160 from Victory Monument and then take a boat. THB 10 per person is the fare.
A wonderful Sunday prompted us to visit this place. We explored the island by foot and witnessed the locals make pots. We also tried drinking softdrink/soda in a pot.

All Things Bright and Beautiful...the Lord God Made Them All
by Regin Reyno
Traveling allows you to witness God's wonderful creation. Our world, though already marred by sin, is still full of beautiful things that our creator made for us to enjoy.
Whenever I travel, I can't help at but marvel at His creation. The wonderful sunrise, the golden sunset, lush forests, green rolling hills, majestic mountains, beautiful flowers, wonderful animals, white-sand beaches-all tells us that God is love.

2012: A Year of Travels
by Regin Reyno
A few more weeks from now, 2012 will be over and we will welcome another new year. As we go nearer to the end of this year, I can't help but look back at 2012 and reminisce the many blessings that God has bestowed. This year has been a year full of travels. And looking back, I can't help but thank God and marvel at His goodness.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalms 136:1
I'd like to thank the Lord for giving me this opportunity to travel, to experience the different culture, and scenery of the different places in this world-and for keeping me safe in my travels. I'd like also to thank the people who've been part of my 2012 travels.
1. January 2012: Manila Historical Tour

How to Get a Re-entry Permit
by Regin Reyno
If you're an expat working in Thailand, the Ministry of Labor and the Thailand Immigration/Embassy will issue you a work permit and a Non-immigrant B visa or commonly known as "Non B". This is usually good for 1 year. It means you are legally working in Thailand-you are not a tourist anymore.

How to Get a Myanmar Visa
by Regin Reyno
One of the countries that you must visit if you want a cultural experience in Asia is Burma, or what they now call Myanmar. Years of strict military rule enabled it to preserve it's culture. The internet just entered in that country recently-no ATM machines were available in that country until November 2011. No 7-11's, some parts of the country still has no electricity, and Coca-cola just entered two weeks ago. The majority still wear their traditional clothes. Men wear skirts, or what they call longyi. So for a traveler like me who's after cultural experiences, Burma is a country not to be missed.
