A Litte Taste of Europe in Bangkok

by Regin Reyno

One cloudy Sunday morning, on a beautiful weekend, I explored some places in Bangkok that I haven't explored yet. Bangkok, as what have been mentioned, is my favorite city in Asia. There are lots of beautiful places to go to, and activities, depending on your personality.

Sunset in an Asian Mega City

by Regin S. Reyno

Have you took time lately to watch the sunset? When was the last time to actually stopped and just watch the sun set? Many of us are busy nowadays, we are so busy that we fail to appreciate the beauty around us.

Ever since living in an Asian mega city, I failed to watch the sunset. The beauty-nature's beauty and God's wonderful way of saying He loves us-went unnoticed everyday.

Sometimes we are so busy thinking about the future and dwelling in the past, that we fail to savor the moment. One of the things that can bring us happiness is to savor the moment-to appreciate the beauty, to take time and feel and experience everyday things that normally goes unnoticed.

Euro Trip: My Version Part I

by Regin Reyno

Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of traveling outside the country. I always thought of what other country look like. My curiosity was so high that sometimes when I sleep, I dreamed that I am in a different country.

My parents had the opportunity to travel abroad, and every time they come home from their trips, they will tell me stories about the country that they've visited. That made me more curious and my desire to venture the unknown-to satisfy my curiosity grew stronger. I really want to have a glimpse on what other country looks like: the food, their culture, the money, how do they buy or do business, and everything.

So in 2005, God gave me the opportunity not just to have a glimpse, but to fully experience-not just one country-but many countries-in one the most prestigious continents in the world-Europe! A blessing indeed.

Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2012

by Regin S. Reyno

As a traveler, I have seen, heard, experienced, smelled, felt, tasted a lot of things-and I don't want those precious memories to be forgotten. That's why in October 2011, I started this blog. To record my travels, experiences and to share the wonderful places that I've been-to encourage everyone to travel. This is also an opportunity for me to share my faith and tell other people how great and wonderful God is.

The Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2012 Writing Project is now celebrating its 6th year. This writing project is searching for "new and emerging blogs" who have made and are still making an impact to the readers this year. The blogs that have started from June 1, 2011 to the present are qualified to join here. "These blogs are gradually gaining a considerable amount of readership, following, influence and fascinating the reader in various ways. The bloggers behind them established the blog for various reasons such as expression of thoughts, sharing of knowledge and insight, building a movement, events reporting or coverage, and some for profit."

Here are my top 10 emerging influential blogs of 2012

Pai, a Backpacker's Paradise

by Regin Reyno

4-hour drive from Chiang Mai lies a place surrounded by mountains that captivated my heart. The 762 curves in going to that place was all worth it. Pai, maybe you have heard about this place before. It is part of the Banana Pancake Trail, the well-trodden trail by backpackers in Southeast Asia. So what makes it so special? What is in that place that I fell in love at first sight?

A Spanish Experience

by Regin Reyno

Spain, the country who colonized us for 333 years and greatly influenced our culture, was one of my dream destinations in Europe. I really wanted to go there and experience their culture, hear the locals speak their beautiful language, the food, and see with my own eyes the very country and people who greatly influenced my country-both good and bad.

Bungee Jumpin' on a Weekend at Pattaya

by Regin Reyno

As a traveler and adventure, I always wanted to try new things-to experience not just places, but also activities that not many people do. I go for the experiences that are beyond the usual. I make it a point that I get to experience something new-something that is not experienced by many. One example is "going local". I try to go local as much as possible and if I'm in a different country. By doing that, I get to experience things that can't be experienced everyday back home, and that makes my travel more meaningful. Those new experiences are what make my travel more meaningful. They say we only live once and life is short that's why we need to make the most out of it.
