Mindanao, Land of Promise

by Regin Reyno

One of the main islands of the Philippines, Mindanao is also called the Land of Promise due to its fertile land and no typhoons stronger than signal no. 2. Many fruits abound in Mindanao because of those reasons. Last December, I visited Mindanao and I want to share some of my shots of Mindanao, the Land of Promise.

10 Reasons to Join the Backpacking and Ministry in July (a post for Klement)

by Regin Reyno

Feet First. Klement's Male Chorus

     1.     The Holy Spirit tells us so. The Lord is soon to come. We must work while the day lasts; for the night is coming, in which no man can work.
The Lord calls for every talent of means and ability to be put to use.--Ellen G. White, Manuscript page 308

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

It's More Fun in the Philippines

         by Regin Reyno

The Philippines, one of the countries in Southeast Asia-backpackers are slowly discovering it. In fact, some of it's tourist spots are part of the Banana Pancake trail namely Banaue, Sagada, Boracay, Puerto Princessa and El Nido, Palawan.

Just this month, the Department of Tourism of the Philippines launched its tourism campaign tagline. It says "It's More Fun in the Philippines". I honestly prefer the slogan of former secretary Dick Gordon which is "Wow Philippines". I don't see the need to change it. But since it has been launched already, I have no choice but to support it.

Visit the Philippines! It has 7,107 islands to choose from. Here are some shots from the Philippines during my 2-week Philippine vacation last December. Enjoy!
